"I would totally recommend the experience days. You wont be disappointed."
Our experience sessions take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am until 1am. The experience session takes place in an open filed in the National Forest, Access to the field can be found at the end of Elms road, Coton in the Elms (South Derbyshire DE12), while parking can be found on either Elms road or Burton road. Practical footwear and clothing to match the weather is advised, as the experience session contains a moderate amount of walking and several hours stood up in the open.
The Session will begin with and introduction and brief health and safety discussion. We will then go straight into the flying sessions. After flying and handling a few birds, we will stop for a midway break, enjoy a tea or coffee while you watch a falcon stoop to the lure. We start again with more flying and handling. The session will end with a Hawk Hike, walking around the farm fields with the Hawk jumping through the trees to follow us.
Spectators are welcome to join at a charge of £10 cash on the day. Participants and spectators are welcome to take as many photos during the session as they like, however we ask that the photography does not get in the way of the flying, we have Photography Sessions for that!
Due to the current pandemic, we are unable to provide toilet facilities, and there will be no drink served during the midway coffee break so we advise you to bring your own. Hand sanitizer and gloves will be provided. The local pub, ‘The Bubble’, at the end of burton road serves food and drink and has toileting facilities, experience session participants will receive 25% off food in the pub.
Upon purchase of the experience session, you will receive an email confirming and to arrange a date for your session. Experience Sessions will be taking place in the summer of 2021, we look forward to seeing you then!
